Alan Harrell, Partner

Alan Harrell has more than 20 years of experience working at the intersection of substantive environmental law, science and business. He counsels clients on environmental regulatory matters and sustainability programs, as well as product stewardship. As the leader of Phelps’ ESG team, Alan works with lawyers across multiple disciplines of law, including corporate and securities, labor and employment, regulatory and litigation, to provide clients with comprehensive counsel related to a business’ ESG policies and procedures.

Madison Guerinot, Associate

Madison Guerinot helps companies design and implement policies to stay on the right side of ever-changing environmental laws on both state and federal levels, including setting up environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) programs. A founding member of Phelps’ ESG team, Madison works with lawyers across practices and offices to help clients identify and address ESG-related concerns and opportunities. She uses her background in engineering to understand these issues from a both technical and client-centric perspective, and she brings this insight to the table during transactional due diligence and negotiations, as well as day-to-day business, regulatory and risk-mitigation counseling.
