Why We Serve Women, BIPOC, and the LGBTQ+ Community

At Sesh Coworking, our mission has always been clear: to create a space where women and gender-diverse people can thrive personally, professionally, and collectively.

Sesh was founded because we saw what was missing. Traditional workplaces weren’t built with women in mind. Entrepreneurial ecosystems often overlook women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ professionals. Resulting in a lack of access, representation, and belonging in spaces where big ideas and meaningful collaborations are born.

Sesh exists to change that.

We are a women-owned, community-driven coworking space designed to nurture connection and creativity. From the start, we recognized that empowering women also means embracing intersectionality because gender equity cannot exist without racial equity, without queer inclusion, and without the freedom to show up as your full self.

Our commitment is both practical and personal.

  • We provide safe and inclusive spaces to work, host events, and foster relationships.
  • We advocate for equity through our foundation, by donating workspace and resources to local nonprofits and underrepresented entrepreneurs.
  • We continually invest in programming that uplifts voices often left out of the conversation.

Sesh is not just a place to work, but our step toward a more equitable future. A place where women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and communities of color can lead, grow, and be seen.

The Sesh Foundation: Extending Our Mission of Inclusion

At the heart of our work lies The Sesh Foundation, a dedicated arm of Sesh Coworking established to deepen and extend our mission through tangible action. From donating coworking memberships to offering free event space, we make sure good humans doing good work have the room to thrive.

One of the Foundation’s efforts is the Good Human Awards, where we celebrate the people in Houston who make a difference. Those who build community, open doors for others, and embody what it means to be a good human. Through initiatives like this, The Sesh Foundation continues to uplift local changemakers.

Want to get involved? There are many ways to support The Sesh Foundation. Whether that is through donation, partnering on initiatives, or simply sharing our mission with others. Every contribution helps us continue creating opportunities for women, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC entrepreneurs.

Our Partnership with the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce

Sesh Coworking has proudly partnered with the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce since 2020, sharing a deep commitment to supporting Houston’s LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs and allies. We’re honored to be a home base for the Chamber.

In 2022, Sesh was awarded Allied Business of the Year by the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce for our ongoing efforts of LGBTQ+ allyship. This recognition reflected our commitment to not just talking about inclusion, but actively living it by making sure our members, events, and programming uplift and empower every identity that walks through our doors.

Female Founders & Friends

Each 3rd Tuesday of the month, Sesh hosts Female Founders & Friends, a welcoming meetup for women and gender-diverse entrepreneurs to connect, collaborate, and grow together. It’s a space for honest conversation, shared experiences, and community support, because building a business is easier when you don’t have to do it alone.
