Starting Local

“Starting Local” is a community-focused talk show dedicated to breaking down local government and civic engagement.  

Each episode includes a guest expert who is a member of Sesh Coworking, bringing fresh insights to the conversation. The goal is to empower viewers with the knowledge and tools needed to make a difference at the local level, encouraging participation in city councils, board meetings, and community advocacy beyond just voting. From voting rights to local policy changes, “Starting Local” helps everyone find their voice and use it to drive meaningful change in their communities.

Since 2008 Maggie has been irrepressible in making an impact to the local community whether it’s been via her HOA, founding a Chamber of Commerce, as an activist that rallied dozens of local orgs to enhance pedestrian safety in New York or right here in Houston, as the Vice Chair of the Midtown Management District.
