A Lioness’ Journey from Hell to Self
A Lioness’ Journey from Hell to Self
Houston sculptor and Iraq War veteran Lenie Caston-Miller, a member of Team Lioness and one of the first formally integrated female combat units in the U.S. military, presents her debut solo exhibition. The show is a three-act narrative tracing an arc from her BFA thesis works made in the wake of service, through the InnerConnected ceramic series exploring the universal physics of rupture, and repair, to the Zodiac ceremonial series rooted in sacred geometry. This solo exhibition marks the first time the full arc of that practice, from witness to healing to ritual, in a single show.
The visceral journey moves from the specific trauma of war to a collective language of healing and self-orientation.
The evening will feature an artist talk, and original works will be available for purchase.
